Help keep a child warm this winter by donating a new
or gently used coat!

During our recent
San Antonio Annual Coat Drive
we received approximately 50 coats to keep someone warmer this
winter. Thank you for your contributions... It will definitely
mean a lot to the adults and children who receive these coats.
Once again thanks for your continued support and help for less fortunate children

Adelante team members from San
Antonio, TX help Kick-Off the Escalera Program in South Texas. |
Wow!! What a Program we are
implementing in South Texas. The San Antonio Members are working
together with the NCLR to expand the Escalera Program: Taking
Steps Towards Success program which promotes economic mobility
for Latino youth by increasing educational attainment, career planning,
and access to well-paying careers. The program aligns with NCLR’s goals
to eliminate barriers within employment and economic mobility for the
Hispanic Youth.

San Antonio, TX - Adelante Group Helped Host The Boys and Girls Club
Thanksgiving Dinner |

Adelante team members from San
Antonio, Texas, helped host The Boys and Girls Club 2007
Thanksgiving Dinner . |
Wow!! What an event. I have never seen so many happy families under
one roof for Thanksgiving Dinner! I wanted to get a chance to share with
everyone this great event Adelante SA had last week with the Boys and
Girls Club of San Antonio during their Annual 2007 Thanksgiving Dinner.
Adelante SA teamed up with the Hispanic Students Association from UTSA,
and pulled off one of the greatest events I have ever seen, or been a
part of. This was a great opportunity for PepsiCo to gain relationships
with these students who will hopefully be future leaders of our
organization.
Adelante also received an appreciation award from the BAGC for our
continued support.
None of this would be possible without the great team of Adelante members that we
have here in San Antonio. Everyone has contributed totally selflessness
and with great enthusiasm.
I did want to recognize John Reyes (RSR) for his continued support and
driving out the product that we donated to the BAGC during his time off.
John you continue to rise to the occasion.
Thanks again ADELANTE SA. Click here for more
pictures from this great event.

San Antonio, Texas, Adelante Members Hold Donation
Drives to Benefit Boys and Girls Club |
 |
|
Adelante team members from San
Antonio, Texas, held donation drives at Sam's Club locations to
collect school supplies for their local Boys and Girls Club. |
Adelante team members in San Antonio,
Texas, recently demonstrated their commitment to the community by
hosting a site- and community-wide school supply fundraiser to benefit
the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio. Associates from the both
Operations and Sales teams were asked to donate supplies during a
month-long drive, while Adelante members collected items from the
community at local Sam's Club locations. When the supply drive closed,
the Adelante team delivered a bulk truck full of school supplies to the
Boys and Girls Club. Associates also toured the facility and met many of
the children who were there participating in after-school programs.
Members of the Adelante team even engaged in (and lost) several table
tennis matches with the children. The Boys and Girls Club invited
Frito-Lay back to visit for their upcoming Thanksgiving dinner, in which
more than 800 children and their families are expected to attend. |
